Phosphorescent crystals embedded in the concrete absorb solar energy during the day and release it for about 10 hours at night. The pavers appear white during the day and emit a blue or green glow at night. Interesting idea, but what happens when it is covered by snow? This same technology can be used in railings, posts, walls, etc.
