For the home of your dreams. Your life. Your Home.
Home and life are intimate, intertwined. It’s how you relax with your family and entertain friends, how you organize your personal life and present yourself to the world outside. Your home isn’t simply where you hang your hat—it’s the lifestyle you see for yourself, your family and your friends. At Daggett Builders, we understand that home construction is not all about boards and nails and siding—it’s also about building your life. We help you create and recreate the home of your dreams: the place where you’ll feel safe, comfortable and productive—a place to cherish the past, celebrate the present and secure the future.
Communications and Confidence
You’ll always know the status of your project with Daggett Builders. We’ll work together from a clear, detailed fixed-price contract. You’ll know our work schedule. When we say we’ll be there, you can bank on it.
(We’ve even done jobs for people we’ve never met in person, keeping them up to date with frequent phone calls, emails and photos. These clients have been so pleased with the results that they frequently come back to us for other projects.)
Your project will be built by honest, happy, reliable workers who respect your home and your neighbors. We maintain good work habits and safe, clean, orderly jobsites. Of course all work is done according to code—you wouldn’t have it any other way.
For new construction and major renovations, you’ll receive a Home Asset Management Plan—an “owner’s manual” explaining every-thing you need to know to keep your home functioning and in perfect repair.
You are the reason we love our work, whether it is helping you maintain the home you already have or helping you create the home of your dreams. Please let us know what we are doing right and where we can improve. Our vision is to grow our business through our reputation; one satisfied customer at a time.
Christopher Robinson – Owner
Christopher was born in Rockland, Maine but grew up in a small village outside of Geneva, Switzerland. The son of a gifted translator and the grandson of a Boston carpenter, Chris is more like his grandfather. He loved to spend time in the village hardware stores as a child, learning everything he could from the locals. He performed most of the handyman projects in the family’s old farm house at the foot of the Jura Mountains in Switzerland and in their traditional sea captain’s house on the corner of Main & Robinson Street in Thomaston, ME. Chris moved to Cushing, ME in 1986 where he designed and built his first home with guidance from his father-in-law, Wesley Daggett. Wesley asked Chris to join his construction business as a partner. Chris took the business skills he learned in university and as a financial analyst for Procter & Gamble, AG and combined them with the hands on experience he gained by working with Wes. Chris also regularly attends classes and reads to stay abreast of developments in the construction industry. Chris and his wife, Crystal, now run Daggett Builders but they haven’t forgotten their roots, the people, and the work ethic that put them where they are today.
Interests: Traveling, biking, hiking, kayaking, horses, trying new foods, and reading.
Favorite Family Getaway: Acadia National Park. A perfect day consists of a hike or a bike trip, and then enjoying a leisurely drive over the stone bridges with their trusty horse Romeo pulling the carriage. It ends up with swapping stories over a campfire at night.
