EMPLOYEES – We have a great crew and are currently hiring.  We may also consider taking on another apprentice.

The ideal candidate has a love of carpentry, a great attitude, is a team player,  is physically fit and agile enough to lift 100lbs, climb easily and work on roofs, has good basic math & writing skills, is quick to learn, has a valid drivers license and dependable transportation, and is able to pass a background check and random ongoing drug tests.

We believe that great people are the key to our mutual success and that companies who strive to create a win/win/win for everyone involved will be more creative, more competitive, and more stable.   Our goal is to start with the right people, set high expectations, show them respect, train them, encourage them to think for themselves, and to promote from within.

The employee interview process will consist of three steps. Candidates must fill in a written application, meet with the owners, and then meet with members of our team either at our Mill Work & Cabinetry Shop or on a job site for a hands on evaluation.

We require a minimum of three references from recent work places and an OSHA 10 Certificate that is less than 3 years old as a minimum.  Preference will be given to candidates who also have a Fall Protection Certificate and a Ladder Safety Certificate.  See the requirements for subcontractors and click on the links for additional information about these courses, which are offered free by the State of Maine.
