Cushing, ME Vacation Rental Review, Head Tide House 2015

My husband, in-laws & siblings, and I had the pleasure of staying at the Head Tide House the week before July 4th. It was their first time in Cushing, and everything this house offered became a huge part of their visit. We were amazed by the amount of wildlife you can observe by relaxing on their lovely deck. Every morning we would see osprey, goldfinches, even eagles! We also had the chance to take out their dory & dingy, but I would only recommend this for experienced rowers. (The tide can be quite fast)In the evenings, we would cozy up next to the hearth in the great room, or play games in the dining area. I would also recommend going for a walk around the house and admiring their gorgeous gardens. There are also a ton of wild flowers growing along the drive down to the house where you can admire so many butterflies enjoying them as much as you will!

The main bedroom is located on the first floor, and very accessible to those who need assistance, or older. There were appropriate bars in the shower and bathroom for those who might need it. This was important to us in finding a summer rental property since our parents are older.

My husband and I and his two other siblings dispersed into the other bedrooms. We were quite comfortable, and loved that we all didn’t have to fight for a bathroom. (There are three shower/baths, 4 bathrooms)

I personally have been coming to Cushing for around 25 years now, and this one was one of my favorites by far! The house is a great midpoint between Waldoboro and Rockland. Although we did not spend much time in Waldoboro, everyone quickly became familiar with how to reach the surrounding towns from this home very quickly. We were lucky enough to catch the Thomaston 4th of July parade in town this week!

Also, Crystal Daggett Robinson went above and beyond to help us find the perfect property. I would highly recommend this property to those looking to fall in love with Maine. Note:  This couple celebrated their wedding at the historical church on the Salt Pond Road in Cushing.    It is a lovely little church for a country wedding.  This vacation rental property in Cushing, ME is within walking distance of the church.  Visit our Services page / Vacation Rentals to see more photos of this and other rental properties in Maine.
