Nobleboro is such a nice little town. I, Crystal, have a special affection for Nobleboro and its residents as I taught French there in a pilot program for the elementary school. The children were so sweet and every member of the staff was incredibly supportive and helpful.
More recently, Daggett Builders had a connection with Nobleboro and the Nobleboro Antiques Exchange, who hosted our model solarium. There again, the people are what make the Nobleboro Antiques Exchange so special. The owner, Lisa Bottero and her staff did a great job decorating our little solarium on wheels. You may have noticed the enormous Rooster & Rose Bride and Groom display for June. Chris and I were in the middle of a kitchen remodel this summer. We had lots of help from the various vendors; it was so much fun. We bought a beautiful rose wood credenza for the kitchen island, an adorable little ice cream store table and chairs to replace the island seating, and repainted our kitchen cabinets twice (first with Antibes Green on the cabinets and dark plum on the island, which was very pretty & fun but a bit bright) and (lastly with a Coco/Antique White combo and Olive Green for the island). Two different looks, both really nice. Yes, it was a lot of work but therapeutic and provided a great excuse to listen to hours of Ted Talks on Netflix. Working with Annie Sloan paints is a pleasure. There are no smells and it gives a nice furniture patina. I finished it with hemp oil which bonds with the paint, makes it strong, and gives it a nice rich glow.
